Red Fleet Reservoir and State Park is a large reservoir at the base of the Uinta Mountains in Eastern Utah. It was built in the early 1980′s with federal funds to relieve the residents of Ashley Valley of the cost of storing their own water. Red Fleet State Park has full recreational facilities which can be accommodated by Utah Boat Rental with tournament ski boat rental, watercraft rentals, waverunner rentals, jet ski rental, sea doo rental, wake surf instruction, personal watercraft rentals, wakeboard lesson, and water toy rentals. Back in the day Red Fleet Reservoir looked like a fleet of ships, and was called Tyzack Reservoir because of the Navajo Sandstone buttes surrounding Red Fleet Reservoir.
Red Fleet Reservoir has scenic red slick-rock formations, and has great year round fishing and water sport recreation in the summer months. Red Fleet picturesque state park is located 10 miles north of Vernal just off Highway 191 in Uinta County, Utah. Facilities include a small sandy beach, boat launching ramp, two modern rest rooms, 29 campsites, 32 covered picnic tables, fish cleaning area, and jet ski rentals.
