Scofield Reservoir and State Park is on the northern edge of the Wasatch Plateau and has 2,800 acres of recreational sports which are; competition wakeboard boating, water skiing instruction, wakeboarding lessons, jet ski rental, sea doo rentals, PWC personal watercraft rentals, horseback riding and fishing in summer. Then in the winter with all the powder serves as a base for snowmobile rentals from Utah Snowmobile Rental. Scofield lake is stocked with rainbow and cutthroat trout. The heights of the Wasatch Plateau rising a few miles off, Scofield Reservoir is a great get away from the other busy Utah lakes.
Scofield State Park is off U.S. Highway 6, just 10 miles southwest on State Route 96. Three state-owned facilities are available for water sport activities. Mountain View, located six miles north of Scofield, offers a 34-unit campground, modern rest rooms, hot showers, fish cleaning and sanitary disposal stations, day-use area, and boat launching ramp. Madsen Bay, located on the north end of the reservoir, is a popular area for groups and family reunions. Facilities include a 40-unit campground, modern rest rooms, fish cleaning and sanitary disposal stations, boat ramp and parking. Lakeside day-use area offers modern rest rooms, group-use pavilion and a fishing platform for the disabled. Utah Boat Rentals has a recreational vehicle rental facility at the mouth of Spanish Fork Canyon where you can pick up your water toys for Scofield Reservoir.
