Willard Bay adjoins the Great Salt Lake between Brigham City and Ogden, and not far from Sandy City, Utah. It offers good ski boat rental in fresh water, water-skiing lessons, waverunner rentals, sea doo rentals, jet ski rentals, wakeboard lessons, wake surf lessons, PWC personal watercraft rentals, year-round fishing for crappie, camping, walleye, wiper, and catfish. Willard Bay has some wide sandy beaches and two marinas, with all the amenities. Willard Bay has easy access to I-15 causing this to be northern Utah’s most crowded lake. Willard Bay rests atop the Great Salt Lake flood plain in northern Utah, and has 9,900 acres of fresh water.
Camping is also popular at the Willard Bay State Park. Two state-owned facilities are available to recreationists. The north marina is 15 miles north of Ogden, just off Interstate 15. The park has 62 campsites, modern rest rooms, hot showers, sewage disposal station, seasonal/transient boat slip rentals, water sports lesson, and sandy beaches. The south marina is eight miles north of Ogden. Willard bay is open April through October and provides boat launching, seasonal boat rentals from Utah Boat Rentals, and modern rest rooms.
